Evolution of my "Free-Titty!"--Haters Keep Out.

I finally got my Eibach Pro-Kits on my car! I put them in with Eibach rear camber arms today. I still have to get it aligned, maybe after a few dozen miles or so. Drop is nice. Ride is very similar to OEM on the street. Maybe on the track the progressive springs may not measure up as well as some linear spring/strut combos but I'm not trying to do too much. I'm putting Ichiba 20/25mm spacers in as soon as the UPS guy delivers them and that should help flush the rims out with the fenders. Let me know what youse guys think?

LOL! I know, but I prefer the company here much better! I do go on the 350 sites, but find most of them to be alienating d!ckheads. So youse guys have to read "Free-Titty" posts from me for a while.

BTW, here's some more pics:

LOL! Yeah, you're right. It isn't "dropped." It's a 1.00-1.25" drop. Not much. You should've seen the gap BEFORE. I like the Eibach's just for this reason. Originally, the wheel gap was near 4". Now the wheel gap is about 1-1.25". That is, they close the gap, at least by half or more, and your car does not look "dropped." To me, it looks like the way it should comming from the factory.

BTW, thanks for the compliment.

Here are some pics of it BEFORE the Eibachs:

And remember, the rubber bump stop compresses further after a few dozen miles--lowering the car another 0.25-0.5". Also, the Z does not respond well to lowering. It is recommended to go NO LOWER than 0.8" because the factory equipment does not stay in spec lower than that. Lower than 0.8" causes serious negative camber, that is why I got the Eibach camber arms. The fronts are okay, but much lower and things--with the Z--get really outta whack.

I quite like the look now. I dislike the springs that when you put on your car it screams "slammed."

LOL. No, bought it new. But yeah, it was crazy high--the gap was killing me! Looked like a 4X4!

I'm a big fan of subtle mods. I bought the car cause I like the way it looks, handles, accelerates, stops, shifts, etc. To do drastic things takes those away. I don't want it to "look dropped." Just to look...right, feel me? Thanks for the compliments and feedback. I'll post more once I get the spacers and eyelids on!

Thats a tight 350.

I think the drop looks pretty good. Should be better once settled.

I love the Z's, almost traded my 8 for one 2 summers ago.

Haha. Yeah, I've been fortunate enough to not see much rain and fog with this car. Give it a few more weeks...Ductile iron ALWAYS rusts. Sooner or later.

To fix rusty rotors, just repeat the pad/rotor bedding procedure and viola!

Why didn't you get it?

I wanted it. Test drove it for an hour. The dealer tried to low ball me on my trade in (3K under book value). My 8 was in mint condition.

I loved the torque and tight suspension, and think it a beautiful car, plus it was black.

Im not in the finacial postion to trade in now (new baby, and back in school, career change).

In 2010 Ill be ready for a new car, and most likely it will be a new Z (come on 3.8L/350HP)

Driving a Z down on the rear bump stops is NOT a fun proposition... Not much rear suspension travel to begin with. I do like how it looks, but prefer the more useful rear seats in the G35... Proof that Nissan could have built the Z with rear seats and it still would have looked great! That's the single, decisive factor which kept this former 240Z owner from buying a Z... that, and the fact that the RX-8 still looks amazing to me, and drives fantastic to boot!

BTW-Phantom Menace, what happened to your RX-8? Did you trade it in?

Nawh, bro. Still here! My wife jacked me for it! It's her 8 now. I stripped most of the "performance" mods off of it and gave it to her. I got this for my own whip, since she's gone all "Rotor-head" on me. She's looking at the Pettit SC for the 8. They just sent her an email that their SC should be done by April....I can't wait! I'm thinking of F/I for this as well. maybe a twin turbo...

It was a nice day, so I decided to take the afternoon off and install my Ichiba spacers, purchased from http://www.ichibausa.com/

I put 20mm up front and 25mm in the back. The rear spacers were pretty simple to install, just bolt them over the OEM lugs and mount the wheel over the new lugs. The font spacers, however, were a bit tougher. I had to remove the brake calipers, front rotors, and OEM lugs. I replaced the OEM lugs with the, longer, Ichiba studs and reassembled with the hubcentric spacer, sandwiched between the rotor and wheel.

The spacers really brought the wheel flush with the fender, as if I had "perfect" offsets. What a difference 20mm and 25mm makes...

With these on and looking so nice, I'm thinking about saving my "rims" money for some performance mods for when the aftermarket finally decides to make parts for my car...sucks eggs!

I got some AUT eyelids comming in the mail in a couple of weeks, once they are painted, I'll post those up once they come in.
