I don't have an experience with the Falken's but I've got a few friends with Toyo T1R's on their RX-8's and they love them!
I personally went with Kumho Ecsta MX's...they rock!

First week on my T1R's - really like them - not even broken in and still grippy. 2 major rainstorms and no slips. Played slalom in the drizzle and they hung tight. (Not pushing it, just playing)

I've owned both sets and personally I'd pick the TR1 over the Falkens anytime.
More grip in both wet and dry (marginally to be fair) and they tend to last a little longer too. Only issue I have with the TR1's would be the noise....but then again they are performance tires after all![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Have you considered the Eagle F1's tho? They are undoubtedly superior, well at least the German made ones. The Thai made Eagle F1's aint as good.
