first tire w/ damage?
My car obtained a nice screw sometime Friday night apparently. Was low on air Sat afternoon, found screw Sunday night. Dealer service rep ways their normally tire experts tried 3-4 times today to get the tire patched and could not get it to adhere / take. They're letting it set over night to see if it works otherwise I'll be needing a new tire. 2 questions - my car is not w/ me - 1-will damage that renders the tire useless be covered under warranty? 2-anyone else had tire damage yet and if so any problems w/ repair?

Weirder Tire Information
Went by dealer tonight. Long story short: my unrepairable tire is on my car w/ 39PSI. ??? . So is what they mean is that they don't think the patch will hold permanently? Or did they screw up and thought it wouldn't but now it is? I was shocked to find it was on the 'back lot' instead of up on a rack since it had a flat tire... any ideas? I'll try to find out more Weds AM (obviously!)

for any who care to read more about this. the dealer said they couldn't repair the tire; I bought a new one from Tire Rack that the dealer replaced ; took old tire to tire shop, they were able to repair it.

yay to tire problems
I know this is an old thread, but just figured I'd let you know that I'm having tire problems as well. My rear left tire is slowly leaking. All my tires are inflated to about 31 psi, and the rear left tire leaks about 2-3 psi a day. Gonna take it to the dealership tomorrow and see if it's patchable, or if it's the valve stem for some reason...and if it is, it had better be covered under warranty. Strangest thing...some jerk threw a beer bottle in road about a week and a half ago and I ran over a broken bottle. All my tires were inflated to 31 psi, but my tire just recently started showing problems. I suspect the bottle caused the damage...even though it's a week and a half later and I didn't see any glass in the tire when I inspected it.

seems unlikely it was glass - but could be. Try inspecting it at night with a flashlight ; roll the car a couple times one way to see the entire tire. Probably a leak having to do with the pressure sensor.
