Yeah i just got my car serviced and told them about the brake squeal and they said that mazda told them to hold off until further notice. I am getting tired of it myself. its like running your fingers down a chalkboard.....

Well, I got an email from them just like that a month or two ago. But they have progressed some since they now have an ETA on the fix. I'm looking forward to getting this taken care of!

You should post a link of who you emailed so we can all send one out. I think it would mean more if we just flooded there email box. Eventually they would get tired of hearing us complain and fix the problem. Its not like mazda has never made brakes before.

This is real good news. Had this same drama with the '99 cougar when it came out. There was a special coating on the rotors which made the car sound like the front end was falling off.
I pull up to the light, car clean, music blarring, and I hear my damn brakes over all that. Mazda, not good, you killing my cool fator.

My brakes squeel once in a while too. Not all the time at all. Doesn't affect performance, just an occasional eye opener / loss of cool factor :o . Yep, it would be nice to get it fixed, thanx for this good news!
Isn't it just the front brakes?

Finally some support from Mazda! I don't buy the "oh it's normal" BS anymore. Sucks when you have a problem with your new car, and all they could give you is "it's normal".

its kinda emberassing rolling up to a signal with some ricer checking out ur car and then your car's brakes start squeeling... my friends always ask "was that your car or mine?" and i juss shrug it off and go " i ono who cares lets just go" -_____- i'm glad that mazda is gonna fix it
