General Exclaim UHP vs Fuzion ZRi

Alrighty guys money is little tight right now and I desperately need new tires. I was hoping to have these tires last 3 months, then money wouldn't really be an option looks like thats not going to happen.

I'm coming from goodyear f1's 245/40/18, and absolutely loved them. Great dry, great wet, great look, they lasted 16k miles with 5 autocross events. While i would love to get them again the difference between them and the fuzion/generals is $350 and i could really use the money right now.

I like the look of the fuzions but the generals got better reviews on tirerack. I know that I'm not going to get the same grippy response as the f1's but I don't think I'm going to hate them either. Plus they have better tread wear ratings. Which one do you guys like the best?

I searched and didn't find an exact comparison of these 2 tires on the forum. I have looked at the kuhmo's and yokohama's but the price difference isn't worth it, i would just get the f1's

I've got the Generals

I have the Generals and like them okay. I had Avon's before that and liked their grip better, but they got really noisy.

The Generals appear to be wearing very well though.

Good luck with your decision.

LOL yah, if you can by a top tier tire for that much, who gives a damn about Fuzions or Generals?

I was going to recommend the Fuzions. The wet and dry performance is very good for the money.

I wish the pole positions came in 245/40/18 size. Ugg I might drop down in size.

I bought the 225's wow that was just an amazing deal. I like the 245 size but wow a deal like that. Looks like its going to be about 675 with mounting and balancing and shipping. Thanks for the input anyway. I think i would have went with the generals if it wasn't for the crazy deal.

for a cheap and good tire go with the falken ZE912's. you can get them for $122/tire shipped to your door from www.discounttiredirect.com in a 245/40/18. 225's will be cheaper too. they do free shipping on all orders.

i personally would never buy a tire from either general or fuzion.

Fuzions are great!

I've got the Fuzions and really like them. I had the OEM Dunlops and I can't tell much of a difference. They are grippy, have a stiff sidewall for good steering response and are good in the wet. The only complaint would be how long they last (I'm on my second set).

BTW Fuzions are made by Bridgestone.

I put the fuzions on my jetta 1.8t in 225/45/17 on a recommendation from the owner of my local tire shop. I was VERY hesitant to get them, but my expectations were far exceeded. They are actually quite, good wet and dry grip, and have been wearing very well. For the price they are not a bad choice at all.
