I am deciding on the Koni - Tokico D Spec - or the Bilstein
im shoting for Koni

im going for a stiff setup in road racing

what do you guys recommend from experience?

if there is a better shock let me know

ill be using stock springs until i test these out and see what spring i would want

Tokioc d-specs for you can easily adjust the rears with the extensions that are available. The rear Koni's can't be adjusted without taking the dampers. That was a deal breaker for me on the Koni's.

Buy your spings now and do it at once. The fronts are easy and a one man job, but the rears a little tricky espcially with the extenstion adjusters that you need.

Koni Yellows are a bit stiffer than the D-specs, so they will be a bit better for road racing.

True that, but if you're OCD with changing settings, you'll be pissed with the Koni's as there's no easy rear adjustability. If that's not a problem, Koni's are your best bet.

while we're on topic, what's a good spring to mate up with the koni's?

something that offers a modest drop.

I think most ST autocrossers end up with a full coilover system. You might want to PM Mr. Pockets about his experience with Stance.
