Grinding/rubbing from rear, bad brakes?

Grinding/rubbing from rear, bad brakes?
Here's the low down. Dropped on Tanabe GF210's, rolling on 19x9.5's.
At 10mph or slower I hear a sound coming from the rear. I'm sure it might make the sound when I'm rolling faster, but I just can't hear it. Kinda sounds like a grinding/rubbing.
The first time I heard it, I had someone sitting shotgun, and another in the back, so I thought I was rubbing tire. But it still makes that sound when I'm alone.
But it's every time the wheels rotate. What I mean by that, is for example, if you have a nail in your tire, you'd hear a tap from the nail every time the wheel makes a rotation. Well, that is when I hear this sound.
I've jacked the car up from the rear, checked both tires and the surroundings of the inner fenders, and I don't see any trace of the wheels or tires rubbing on anything.
I know brake pads usually have a indicator to let you know that your pads are wearing down... but usually it's a squeeling. Like I said earlier, this sounds more like grinding/rubbing. My car has 40,000 miles on it, and still on factory pads (never changed).
Does this sound like a brake pad issue?

I had something similar.
Service department first replaced brake calipers. Still got the noise.
Then they replaced the differential and that was it. No more noise.
About a couple weeks ago I started noticing the beginning of a kind of thumping noise like before so wtf?
