Heavier summer tires after mounting?

Has anyone ever experienced this? Recently I switched back to the Potenza's from my winter tires, and immediately I felt that the car seemed to be wearing lead shoes. I didn't clock it or anything but it felt sluggish on all gears, and the clutch takeup seemed faster as well (different). Am I crazy? It is still around 45-50 degrees here in MI, but it doesn't look to be snowing anymore. Just wondering if after storage the summer tires get a little heavy...yes that sounds stupid but it can't just be a coincidence. And, I don't know if this matters, but the Discount Tire guys who re-mounted the Bridgestones broke off a TPMS by mistake...they will replace it, but does this have anything to do with it?
