HELP with brake pads and rotors
so i need new brake pads and rotors..
and i have never really shopped for this EVER loll..
and what you guys recommend?
like cross drilled or no? special brand etc..

"Performance" usage doesn't need slotted. Go with OEM style blanks unless you care about the looks of slots or drilled holes. I would avoid the cheap brands of slotted and drilled if you decide to go that route.

As others have cited the OEM rotors are actually very good. Slotted/curved vane rotors are good for autocross where you need add'l ventilation due to rapid/repeated braking to reduce fade.
Ceramic pads are also a good choice for low dust and noise as well as fade resistance.

Slotted and/or cross drilled isn't necessary. Modern brake pad compounds don't out-gas like the older ones did. The only thing slotted and cross drilled rotors really do is allow out-gassing to escape. There may be some merit to running them on a road coarse for an extended time and with race pads, but you'll never see the advantage on the street or at an autoX. Now, there is something to be said about curved vane vented rotors. They are supposed to actually help with rotor cooling.
