The next thing they'll try to do is say that they can't let you take the car back because it's too dangerous, and there are liability issues. They'll try to convince you that you have to get them replaced.

If so, asks for them to show you the cracks in the rotors. If they said they already replaced them, demand they show you the cracked rotors.

If they already replaced them say "Thanks for the free rotors!" you didn't ask for it.

Thumbs up Thank you all!!

Once again, thank you to you all for the good advice, this is actually the first time I post a problem in the forum and I'm impressed how many knowledgeable answers you get back, next time, the first place is going to be here!!

Ok, I'm going to pick up the car later today because they called me yesterday almost by 6PM and told me they found that he suspention had a problem and the front right arm had to be replaced as well as the gas cap... so far, they told me it was going to be covered by warranty... I really hope so!!!...

I'll write later in the afternoon an update to let you know what happened...

Well, I couldn't make it to the dealer yesterday, too much work, I'll pick it up at noon today ... finally!!.

What I ended ud doing was cutting a VERY GOOD deal with the people from Rotora (I probably got my self a sponsorship!!.... :D), and I got the Fron & Back Slotted & Drilled Rotors + Semi-Racing Ceramic Pads + Stainless Steel lines. They should arrive in 3 days... I'll update when I install them

Now they're claiming the suspension had a problem and the GAS CAP needed replacing?? This place sounds like a den of thieves....get your car away from them and NEVER go back. Find another dealer, even if you have to drive further it would be worth it.

Get the hell away from dealers like that and run! Never go back.
I have 4 track days, 23000 miles and one autocross on my car and the front pads where only 3/4 done the back pads where 1/2 done and the rotors where fine. If your brakes are smooth, no leaks and stop the car well you dont have a problem.

Yeah--I'm going to the shop where I take my Millenia tomorrow and ask them to do a spot check on my rotors. This particular service guy that told me that--I don't trust anyway--he's not my usual. I caught him lying to me before--my center armrest pad was 'poofing up', asked him to change it--he said "Well--you have to take it to the dealer where you purchased the car--its a dealer installed item". Of course I knew it was bullshit; but I had more stuff to do that day than argue with him. Next time I came in for an oil change I made the appointment with my usual advisor--he changed the armrest pad without any questions.

Exclamation Final Update!!

FINAL UPDATE!!

Well, finally I took the car form the Dealer, they ended up changing (Under Warranty, thank God!), both front arms on the suspension, the gas cap, and they didn't touch the rotors.

Now, I expect my 4 Rotora rotors to arrive on Monday and the rest of the stuff I bough from Racing Beat during the week so I plan to put everything on Satuday.

Once again thank you all for your VERY USEFULL tips, you guys really saved me some money!!

Have a good one and untill next time!!....... :D

Thats great....funny thing is the control arms that need replacing are very rare.....I would be very careful when dealing with this dealership...they sound a bit suspect

You have some very unlikely and rare defects with your car.........

I think you missed my warning..I doubt that you had the affected control arms...so the dealership is suspect...and charging for stuff that doesn't need to be done. See above coments as well on your rotors etc... It's OK if Mazda picks up the tab.......but if they do it on your nickel...that's different. If dealerships do unneeded warranty work it costs us all in the long run as well...Mazda will up the price of parts and the cars to compensate.

Dealers that do un-needed work to pad their bottom line should be drawn a quartered and dragged through piles of salt

I ordered the RX7 Store slotted rotors for the front--waiting for them to come in. Can't wait to see the difference if any with my EBC Reds.
