theres alot of other things i would spend 2500 dollars on for my 8 before i bought those.

whats your suspension like? coilovers, swaybars, etc?

ProjectMu BBK's are HUGE coin.. im pretty sure 2 rotors are like 800usd but i may be wrong.

me personally ive been down this road, thought about it and changed my mind.

BUT if u must heres my choice.
stoptech. they are 1700 bucks and they all are gonna look the same when the wheel is on the car.

just paint your existing calipers and get new rotors.

I'm the last guy to care about the looks of his car, but one pet peeve I have is that of painted calipers. They look like- painted calipers, no matter how much care is taken iduring the spray painting process.

As for a BBK, which one to choose from? If I had a couple grand to spend on a BBK, I wouldn't be asking which one looks better. The stock calipers work really well as is for most any performance venue, but if one would upgrade, I would look into which set has had least issues with knockback, which has the most accessible replacement pads, etc.

Look at Rishie's caliper sale - fronts only Racing Brake I believe... but they are priced right.

No one makes a rear that I know of - so kinda kills the bling factor IMO.

Two things...

1. I suggested painting the calipers because the OP was looking for some bling and not performance.

2. If the calipers are painted properly then they will look good. Just depends on the prep work. I've seen

Here are a couple pics of my painted calipers that always look good. Only maintenance they get is a quick wash once a week when I wash the car. Also I painted my calipers because I was already painting the rusted rotor hubs and going for a cleaner look. No bling bling here.

Note: 1st pic is several months after painting. The 2nd and 3rd pics are after painting them. Notice how they look the same

Looks like painted OEM non fixed calipers to me. Generally, painted calipers are fixed calipers.

PS. Your brake pads and shims are showing!

Yes they do but the you do not see rusted rotor hubs Again I painted the calipers to clean up the look and because the I was already in their painting the rotor hubs. If/when the calipers get replaced it will be with black ones.

exactly. i make decent money too. $17.50 and hour, and for being only 18 and right out of high school, i would say thats pretty good. but these guys just toss it around just for looks. thats f^cked up. i mean, almost 2 grand?! you could buy half of a turbo kit for that, which would be WAYYYY more worth it.

They get the $$$ from ME. I have access to bank vaults.

I agree with most people here though: As cool as BBK would look on your 8, there really are better ways to spend $2,000 +
- exhaust
- intake
- Koni's
- springs

^^^ You could probably get ALL that for the price of a good BBK.

you could get all of that and then some. like i said before, its not like you're going to have to stop a semi. i mean 6 piston calipers? thats a LOT of power. our brakes are already superb stock. if you really only want looks. just get the caliper covers.

I only firmly believe in track proven brakes like

Endless and Stoptech

however, there are a large group of guys running the Racingbrake stuff with great success.
