help possibly wheel hop? new tire size?

okay.. so im driving through a fairly curvy development... and theres a few pot holes. as you know the roads are curves so the water drains to the curbs... and the pothole is raised like 1 inch or so... when im driving by and i drive over this my car seems to jump and it feels as if its almost completely off the ground at one point (back tires) is this normal? i know the pothole is on an incline plane (which isnt high at all) but our cars wieght 3000+ so what is the cause? is there anyway to upgrade parts to fix this problem?

also i was looking at new rims...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5Zige...45403299QQrdZ1
does anyone know if these will fit our 8 wtihout modifications?

Are you really asking why a sports car rides badly on crappy roads?? As for those 17" rims they would fit but you really want to go to a staggered 17" set up???

u can probably deflate ur tires a lil bit? but why dont u just avoid these potholes? its probably not good for ur alignment especially if u feel as if ur car is off the ground...

the thing is they are really low pot holes almost flush to the road it was wierd cuz i never noticed it before... how will the staggered set up effect the handling? i just learned what staggered set up is lol...

btw, when most people say "wheel hop", then mean the rapid vibration of the wheel on a hard launch. it bounces off the ground and kills your acceleration.

check your tire pressure. but if you are used to a buick or something, this thing is going to feel tight. to me the stock suspension feels too soft!

WHAT!!

How is it that you have a pothole that is raised? That's like a friggin oxymoron. I'm trying to be a ***** by asking this...is english your second language? Are you talking about driving over humps/bumps/inclinations? How fast were you driving when you went over this pothole that really wasn't a hole?

A stiffer rear sway bar helps. Stick with your 18s and run some 245's all around should help a lot.
