Help Request - The 18s in my future?

Dear club crew,

I am looking for inspiration for some new wheels for my 8, but am very picky about what I see, and I have a fair few criteria...

My car is performance focussed so I want an 18 only (possibly with a slightly wider rear 8.5 or 9). No heavier than stock if possible.

I think that many styles with inset spokes only look good in 19s. In 18 they make the wheel look too small.
Therefore I want something that pushes right to the 18 inch diameter rim

Also my car is bright (yellow ftw). So for me, NO BLACK wheels.

Pics of suggestions please.... I am having a hard time! I have one or two in mind, but it would be good to see what else people come up with.....

Thanks in advance!

Lots of wheels fit your requirement. What is your budget?

Ca. Style - Do you have a budget?? I have many choices you can pick from.

Also, do you have a preferred brand or style?? (split spoke, 5 spoke, 6 spoke, 7 spoke, mesh etc.)

no just looking for ideas, not budget.

I'm thinking split spokes, and not too many ones. I don't like the loads of spoke wheels.
The issue is to get a nice looking wheel which doesn't look small in an 18, yet can deliver a positive enhancement to the look of the car as well.

I really like my chrome OEM wheels, so it will need to be something better, so straight up 5 spokes are out too, as they will be too similar. The Enki RP03 is nice, but a little too similar I reckon

Brand unimportant, as if I like the style I might be able to find another wheel similar.
I'm asking here as I have seen many great wheels in the threads here, but very often they are 19s, or spoky weird biz (eg Enki RPM2!)

I dont like RPF1s
Look! Shrinky wheel!

The Advans (2nd place) and the Work(?) in 3rd, possibly OK the far end one.

1st one and yellow car are what I don't want...shortened spokes and black too!

Have you looked at work emotion cr kai's, xc8's or xt7's?? Not the lightest of wheels tho. Just throwing some ideas off the top of my head right now.

Cheers for the help Atilla. No one else can be arsed!

I looked at the work emotion CR Kai.
I only really liked the curved ones (9.5 inch) and that would add weight?

I really don't want to go heavier than stock (or possibly a tiny bit if they are wider rears)

XT7s potentially interesting... is that what altspace has? How much do they weigh do you know?

Havent seen XC8s on an RX8 but google pic of wheel looked interesting....

If you don't have a budget, get the Advan T5's (the 2nd car in Atilla's post; Jedi54's).

that's a CR-Kai of 18X8.5 with +25 offset in my sig. Semi-concave doesn't look too bad. As long as it's not flat face, your good.

not sure if you're still looking but just felt like throwing more options.

I know you're not too fond of the multispokes but i'm not sure if these would fall into that category...

I used to love the 70's but after seeing them in person... no...

The concavity is about the only thing I like; the spokes are just wierd in person.

Dezau, how heavy were your wheels?
Attila, the tc105s are quite nice looking but the spokes dont extend fully to the rim, so in 18 I think would suffer from "shrinkage"

Theres hundreds and hundreds of wheels out there and new ones coming out every so often. I suggest using a web source like for example Tire Rack, Vivid Racing, Upgrade motoring all have a wide array of wheels. Start there, then search if anyone has those wheels and move on from there.
