Higher profile tire in rear: Danger?

I have 225/45/18 tires on my fronts and 225/50/18 on the rears. Is there a danger to running this?

Reason I have this setup is that my tires were bald in the back and just needed temps until I can muster up the spare change to get new wheels/tires.

Hardly a danger....

I have 235-35-19 in front and 275-35-19 in the rear...absolutely no issues with the set up.

And the reason is that I needed some help putting the power down, the 275-30-19 weren't cutting it and it was starting to get hairy every time I put the foot down .

The larger diameter combined with a better compound (brand) helped greatly.

Best regards,

Chris

Well that's not what the OP is asking, Chris. You have a staggered setup in terms of width, but your overall tire height/sidewall is the same, his rolling diameter is different.

Brian,

First lesson on any forum: Only post relevant discussion/info in the thread. Otherwise, you are threadjacking. Your post actually represents one of the most blatant examples of this; it has almost nothing to do with the subject of the thread, save for it being about an RX-8.

I'm just hoping you posted to the wrong thread on accident. Otherwise:
----------------------------

Chris,

Thanks for your input.

Yes, I was going to say this.

My front rolling diameter is slightly smaller than my rear rolling diameter. Is there an issue with this?

What might occur is the DSC will be effected by the difference in circumference between the front and rear tire. If that occurs then you might have some issues in some tight turns. DSC coming on when you least expect it.

as long as they're temp tires and you plan on replacing all four soon... just take it easy on corners and such.
