How do I mount used tires?
I just got 4 used Potenzas (about 2K miles) to replace the worn out Potenzas (20K) on my 8.
Based on the tire having a single direction of rotation, when I line them all up in the same direction two tires have the right edge slightly more worn and two tires have the left edge slightly more worn. This is as expected.
My question is, when I have the tires put on the car, should I have the worn edge facing IN or facing OUT? Or does it simply not matter?

OH I see, for example if you put the mount left one on the right side of the car then the worn corner will be on the inside and vice versa for the other. I think at this point a good alignment is the only thing that counts, but depending on driving habits then perhaps putting the worn part on the inside will help encourage you to wear the otherside instead of wearing out the worn side even more. The tech should be able to do it in such a way that would influence wear in a more balanced way.
