I guess this goes in here...lowering my 8...

...sorry if this has been posted already but im sick and dont feel like searching...

so anyways, im about to get 2 checks equalling about $4500 from my bf and the insurance company. Anyways, about 3g's is goin to my bodykit (veilside) and I want to use the rest to lower my car...

so here's the question...should I get just regular springs, Skunk 2 Coilovers, or put it on bags with AirZenith?

I really want to put it on bags, but 1. its costs WAY too much and 2. I dont really have anywhere to put the tanks without losing my back seat. I was thinkin about regular springs, because theyre the cheapest and then I could use the rest of the money for some other mods, but everyone is telling me to go with coilovers...so I figured i'd take it to u guys. What do ya think?

Well what do you want out of it? Complete drop? Good ride, more aggressive stance?

For a complete drop you go coilovers, but your average coilover user will have a car that doesn't handle as well as a proper shock/spring combo because they dont know how to set it up.

If it were me, i'd get your favorite springs (i love my tanabe GF's) and some koni's.

Ditto on the Koni's. I've got those with the Tein S-Tech springs. Love 'em!

As long as you like the drop, comfort, and ability of one of the springs out there, you can just get those with konis. However, if you do not like any of the springs characteristics, then look toward coilovers.

If you don't feel like searching, why are you so arrogant as to expect people to 'feel like' replying?

don't do bags, trust me on that, even if that were an option they are more expensive than a good coilover setup. Go with a good coilover setup for example hks hipermax II's (shameless plug). But please! do not go with air bags...unless you want your car to ride like a 86 caddy....haha

Im sure not everyone on here has strep throat (sp?) and a temperature of 101.7. And some people on here are actually nice enough to not be a jerk and give me an opinion. If you dont feel like being helpful, why bother replying?

I have my JIC coilovers and they are awesome!

Great ride quality, and my wheels are tucked into my fender in the front

Get coilovers, bags and unmatched springs are bad for handling in my opinion.

Because searching won't make you feel WORSE. It's actually easier than sitting around and waiting for people to spoon-feed you information. If you are just lazy, just say you are lazy and expect to get information w/o any effort. To blame 'being sick' isn't fooling anyone.

Searching takes more time from my sleeping, thus making me feel worse. Its easier to type a few sentences, sleep, and check it later. And no its not cuz im lazy...im actually totally opposite.
