Question Installing AP Sway Bars

How hard is it? no realy is the job a PITA and dont give me that "well if its your first time" blah blah blah cuz everyone knows its always faster the second time.
Anyway if its to hard and I'm going to need power tools I'm going to have my friends shop do the install.
Thanks!

no power tools needed for sway bars, the front bar is a PITA to get out. do a search, TeamRX8 has some good pointers for getting the bar out.
easiest with another person helping, they can help guide the sway bar out.

I DID search and found the DIY that Expo1 did. From looking at this pick I just cant tell how to rock that SOB out of there
https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...9&postcount=10
Looks like I can move/turn it down to get it out. Think that will work?
I'm PMing expo1 right now.

I took the driver side wheel off and just kinda wiggled it out. It took me longer to take off the undertray than it did to get the sway bar out. Rear sway takes less than 10 minutes, if only the front could be that easy.

Front really is a pain in the ***. I did it myself though. The trick is not to get frustrated..........and that's not easy.

For the ones that have done the install; How many hours do you think it will take?

Took me about an hour for the front sway bar and 10 minutes for the rear. Most of the time for the front was getting all the bolts and screws off for removing the undertray. Getting the bar out isn't bad, just take the time to analyze how u will need to turn it and the space you have to work with and you can do it with little effort. Getting the new bar in isn't bad at all. Not knowing how mechanically inclined you are or if you will have any bolts that will give you a hard time, I'd say budget 2-3hrs for it.

P.S. make sure you have your allen wrenches and 14mm box end wrench for the endlink bolts.

Took me about 2-3 hours for the front, but I was by myself, doing the RB sways and endlinks, so I had to drill the A-arms! Yikes!!!!
Rear was like ten to fifteen minutes tops!

You only have to remove the driver side wheel, easiest to take the sway out that side of the car.

I fig that. Expo1 said he removed all 4 wheels but he was doing a rotate so was not 100% positive on that one.
Thanks

i had my car up on stands cause of a whole ap package install. but it took me and a friend abut 2hrs to install both. front is pita but i figured out that if you take the screw that goed through shock and lower a arm then you can have more room to spin the bar over to correct area. i did have coils so mine where up higher and i didnt have space cause of the steering arm. but like i said, if i would of lower the a arm im sure it would of fit fine...
