Just ordered Tein S-Tech springs...
I just ordered Tein S-Tech springs for my 8.
It cost me about $134.99+tax, not bad for great springs, right?
Anyone running Tein S-Tech springs?
I'm so happy. I can't wait!
Please let me know your feedbacks.
Thank you.

To make this thread a little bit more meaningful... My TeinSTech is on the way as well. Can´t wait to get them installed. Lowering the 8 does wonders for the car.

You will love em. It makes taking corners fast even more fun now. Especially when you scare the crap out of the person in the passenger seat. :D

Hey, RX8Ownz, did you buy new shocks as well? I was planning on going with the RB package, but if Tein springs feel like stock ride and provide better handling, then I might have to go with the Tein springs.

About the springs, I´ll make sure I do a wheel allignment after a couple of hundred miles... any of you did that also?
And... My fingers are itching so I want to get ´em on asap, but my car is in winterstorage at the moment (probably will be ´til late march. Should I wait to get the springs on until I can drive the car? Is it bad if I put them on and then let the car be elevated for another month?

Just installed them few hours ago.
First impression...it rides same as stock, but I feel more stable and stiff.
The springs are not properly broken in yet, so I should take a time for a week or so.
Now I'm very happy with these springs. Ride is def. NOT like bumpy dropped civic.
I swear my gf won't know that it's dropped. lol.
For handling, I gained more confident when cornering.
It's the PERFECT DROP indeed.

That was my initial impression of the S-techs. But after a another few weeks of driving, I have notice the ride to become more bouncy. It seems that the shocks on the car isnt taking the stiffer spring rate very well. I wanted a smooth stiff setup, but it has ended up with a bouncy stiff setup. I guess this is the price I pay to install springs instead of coilovers. I will definitely upgrade to coilovers whenever I get the chance.

Anyone else experiencing that? I'm not a guy for modifications (never done any), but I'm interested in dropping my 8. I don't want my first mod experience to be a bad one, and i definitly don't want a bad bouncy ride.

Many ppl w/ Tein S-Tech usually haven't complained about ride quality?

I have had coilovers on my previous car so I know the difference between the feel of coilovers and springs on stock shocks. If you are not very familiar with suspension modification, you will probably not feel the difference.

I'm really interested in the RB setup or the Tein S-techs. I want the drop of the Tein's but I'm worrying if the stock shocks can handle them.. Has anyone tried S-techs and RB sways? How are your shocks holding up? Just if the RB's were a bigger drop!!

I would not recommend the RB springs. They only drop the car 1/2 inch which is not noticable at all. They also increase the spring a bare minimum of 20%. You can hardly feel the difference in driving conditions or aesthetically.
