Thanks. So far there is absolutely no chipping from loose gravel or anything on the roads, so it looks like its holding up pretty good, even though they haven't been painted for very long.

Good job I was thinking about painting mine but I found one parked at the mall and I was disgusted mainly because the owner did a poor job but I was thinking
Would anyone think a different color would look good for the stock rims for a blue rx8? Any suggestions?

Gold or bronze on WB is always nice...

I didn't even bother with the "dish" or w/e u wanna call it. I don't think it makes too big a difference.

Looks awsome, great job. I want to do this cause I just dont have enough money to buy new rims, but the previous owner put some serious curb rash on them.

Just sand the curb rash spots down, should be okay.

1000 Grit sandpaper did the trick. I was plannin on clear coating but I'm really likin the semi-flat look. When I get the windows tinted I think it'll give it a real stealth look.

Looks good man thanks for posting this up. I was thinking about doing this to my wheels for a long time and after seeing all the pics in your thread I finally did it on my car and it turned out great! I went with the graphite color though but I am really happy with the quality. I would post up a pic but I still don't know how to.. Heres the link to my car domain though http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3114232/3

I think i might attempt this on my car as well and apply 2 coats of clear when finished and see how it turns out. Will keep everyone updated. Should i use that wheel paint or high heat paint seeing as how the rims get fairly hot during intense braking situations
