k-sport slide kontrol coil overs?
ok i am looking at coilovers at the moment and i really like the k-sport slide kontrol coilovers because the camber is adjustable without having a camber kit. Has anyone tried these out yet i would like to hear some feed back before i order them this week.
How much can you drop the ride height?
How much adjustment range do they actually have from stiff to soft? Some coilovers their version of soft is still pretty bump unfriendly.

Height adjustment is pretty vast as height adjustment is done via the shock body instead of the spring perch.
The valve is 36 way adjustable but most people won't notice enough difference unless you're doing half turns or full turns. Street-only cars won't take advantage of this adjustment capability as it's designed for performance.
The Slide Kontrol coilovers are designed for drift use so unless you're planning on drifting your RX8 those are not the coilovers you want. The Kontrol Pro system is most likely what you would be looking for.
These systems do not come with pillow-ball mount kits because the RX8 already has camber adjustment capability. Unless you're looking to run more then -3.0 degrees of camber you won't need any additional items.
Don't forget also that you'll need to include a set of adjustable sway-bar endlinks because you'll be lowering the car

thank you again for more great info! Do you have any suggestions for the sway bars as well because i have only seen a few that are adjustable but they are a bit longer then the non adjustable ones

However: I disagree abut the sway bar adjustable endlinks. Just because you lower the car does not mean you need adjustable endlinks. The #1 reason you would need adjustable endlinks is to remove any preload on the sway bars caused from lowering one side significantly more then the other or using adjustable bars and selecting different settings.
What is great about the RX8 is the car already has great balance. Most cars when corner balanced end up being noticible higher on one corner then the other but not so musch with the RX8. I corner balance my car and I disconnect an endlink first (the right way to corner balance) and I dont have any notiible preload before or after.
Would endlinks be a good thing to have? Sure, but unless you make your own with a high quality and expensive heim joints, there are not any good really good options on the market right now.
