Lifespan of Suspension Components
Does anyone know how durable the suspension components of the 8 are? I'm wondering specifically about things like the CV joints, control arms, bearings, bushings, etc. With mainly agressive street and little track use, how durable are these pieces in general?
I've had these questions after my car was subject to a few potholes, a couple of which were while turning at speeds under 10-15 mph. Is it easier to damage suspension parts while the wheels are turned? How can you tell if any of these parts might be worn or damaged?

Based on the hitting potholes part of your post your question cannot be answered. We have have no idea what could have been done to your car. All I can add is that my 8 has 88,000 miles and all is still well with my suspension. I drive on well maintained roads and only drive hard at the track.

I don't think anything is damaged on my car. I'm just curious if there is any general data gathered regarding the durablity of these parts, and how to tell if they are getting worn. Since I've been on this forum I've not run into or found through searches, anything on this matter, just stuff about springs and shocks.
88,000 mi. Wow. Are you still using the original Shocks and Springs too?
