maximum tire size on stock 18"??

Anyone knows or tried to put a 245/45/18 on stock 18" with stock suspension? How about 255/40/18? Thanks for any info.

I know for fact that 245/45-18's will fit all the way around with no trouble. Not sure about 255's

Many people have the 245/40/18's on their stock rims. That seems to be the perfect balance all the way around.

i have replaced mine with 245-40-18 on stock rim. No problem. The car seem to like this setup.

I will have 265-35-18 P-Zero Corsa's on for competition this year. They fit but are a little tough to mount (on the stock wheels). 245-40-18 is currently on the car for daily drivers and 255 should fit w/o any problem.

How is the ride quality using 245/40/18 compare to 225/45/18?

More grip of course. It's pretty much the same ride.. you can take corners a bit more confidently though.. but the 8 is already good in the corners..
