Megan Racing Coilovers?
Has anyone heard of Megan Racing Coilovers, I guess they started to produce the RX-8 coilovers, doesn't sound bad. I guess I got the first ones of ebay, will let you know how good or bad they are. Anyways I think is not bad at all for the specs. Here what they had on the site.
Racing damper coil over kit for RX8
Made by Megan Racing
First one they made, clean and nice, perfect fitment
Street Series
10kg front and 8kg rear
32-way damper adjustable.
Fully adjustable top and bottom (mounts)
can adjust lower 2" front and 1.35" back
or higher 1" front and 1" back
They give you a smooth ride on daily driving, also give you stiff and strong handling when racing or on track or mountain...
This is a very good option for the upgrade, they worth a lot more then what we are selling.
This model is not even on sale on their website, and not released to the public yet...
MSRP is around $1050-1090.00 each set.
Now, under cost starting bid, highest bigger gets it.
(professional to install is suggested, this unit won't come with any instructions, only hard wares and coil-over set up only)
I don't think is a bad deal at all since I had a friend with a set on his RX-7 and he said they are perfect. The difference is that I only paid $560 shipped to my door.
Let me know what you think

actually they did a small article on them in the new issue of modified magazine. Team injuku (or something like that) uses them on their demo drift car and they said something about how they are "good enough" to get the job done. In other words, you get what you pay for.
i also have a friend that works there and she said that she would never install them on her 8..hahaha

Ok,
Did she tell you what the problem is? why she won't installed them? I mean, a lot of people don't like tein's, HKS's or JIC for that matter. but that doesn't mean that they are pieces of $%^.
Let me know what she say is the biggest drawback.

They will be bouncy. The bracketry and such is substandard. You can tell when you see them. I would never put them on any of my cars. If something is that cheap, for some reason cheaper than Tokicos and Eibachs, there's a problem. lol.

haha yeah i'm the one that works there. rx8power, i remember doing your shipping info for it. lol.. n i was thinkin.. i bet this person's on the rx8 forum, and u are!
well.. they basically offered me a free set, but my car is still in the shop so i can't really give much info as to how good they are. but no complaints so far on coilovers for other cars.. from what i hear, they are made by the same co. that makes coilovers for apex.

Angela,
Yes I heard also that they're made by the same company that make apex, I heard is basically the same coilover but with a different name. I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow and will installed this weekend, so I'll be able to give you guys some reviews about them. I had two different kinds of coilovers in my previews cars, tein and HKS. Like I said, I got a friend who got them in his RX-7 which I drove monday, and if this are even 75% as good as those, trust me, I'll be happy.

Well Finally go my Coilovers installed. I'll be honest with you, I was kind of worried about the coilovers after hearing from some of you, but after driving the car for couple of days, all that changed. The set are perfect, nice drop, excellent quality, easy access to make adjustment to the damper setting(especially the rear), and beautiful ride quality. Of course, a little harsh but which coilover isn't. My friend, who's got tein basic in his 8, drove my car and I drove his and the difference is so much that he's gonna buy a set. Anyways, all I can tell you is that Megan Racing exceded my expectations........................Thanks, Angela

angela,
2 questions:
1. is there anybody around our area with them on their cars?
2. do you guys have them in stock? id like to come check them out in person. they dont look that bad in the pic but as someone mentioned earlier, the rear coilovers look strange.
on the other hand, i have a friend that has megan coilovers on his racing WRX (his name is peter, i think you know him angela) and he says the dampening is acutally quite good.
