Mintex Brake Pads

Anyone know much about these? Found the part number MDB2589 on thier website, but can't find anyone through Google in the US that sells them.

I took my car for the 30k km service and the mechanic told me that we should change brake pads.
He installed the Mintex ( i don't know model) but i have to say that they are terrible and that feel so unsafe with them. I don't know may the mechanic messed up. I called him to tell him that the car doesn't stop and he said that they need some time to get the shape of the disc. Anw... i feel that there is some air in the brake line but the mechanic says that the brake pad renewal doesn't affect the brake line.
