Need Rim Advice......

I ran over a curb last week trying to avoid a kid running out in the street, and bent the outer lip of the rims on the left side of the car, cracking the edge of the front rim.

Took it to the dealer today who said the front left rim is not repairable due to the crack, and the left rear is repairable, BUT........they said they tried to balance the two rims on the right side and they said those rims are not perfectly round due to hitting potholes or whatever over the years, cannot be balanced correctly and will not roll true.

So, I need four new rims. Maybe, I can get away with replacing the left side most damaged rims and hope the right side will be okay, any unbalance in them might be imperceptable.

FML, these rims are not stock, they are some pricey Enkei chrome rims.
Thanks

Whoops.....I suppose that might help.

Any advice on where to go to get NEW rims (any make or style)?

Or, USED rims to match what I currently have on the car if I only replace the two that are damaged?

What is your price range. Do you have a brand preference, rim style? IE. do you like wheels with a lip, or more concave? Are you looking for flashy wheels, or lightweight ones such as Enkei's(which I think are what you are running now).

I'm am undecided.....I may just go with two Enkei LM1/5S's......I may just go with an all new set of 4.

I like the design of the Enkei LM1/5S (see photos in my signature) They are "flashy" in that they are chrome, but they aren't flashy in their design. I don't want them to be too "busy'

Price.........I guess I'll pay what I gotta pay to get the right rims since they will be on the car for 50K plus miles, but I don't want to pay anything outrageous.

I do like Enkei and any other major name brand.

I have a feeling you will like the Enkei RP03. they come in a SBC, which seems to be what you are looking for. A.Mair has them and they look very nice, and are priced well.

Yup EV5 and GTC01.

Depends on the color of the car too. I would take either of the above for my GG

Full Line of RAYS (ROJA, VOLKS, ETc.) which I would be best.....but there is also, Gram Lights, Buddy Club, 5Zigen, DPE, WORK, Racing Hart, Advan, JIC MAGIC, WEDSPORT, BLITZ, G-Games, PIAA, ENKEI, MOMO, O.Z. Racing all make wheels for the RX8

their are replica companies that are pretty good like
ROTA, KONIG, MSR, TSW

Edit: From your list I'd Pick EV5

i don't think the rp03s look good on an 8. on a 7, they look great, but there's something off about them on an 8. just IMO. they don't look bad by any means.

swoop, i believe, has the rp03. and he may have some pics up somewhere.

for what it's worth, i've had my eye on the buddy club p1 racing wheels -- they're very light, and also available on fluids site.

Ta-da...............

I went with the G5's and am very happy with the results.

Quite a difference going from an all chrome rim, to a rim silver powdercoat and machined black rim. Never personally been a big fan of lots of black or grey in rims because I felt the rims got "lost'. But the more I looked at every option in the store, the more I realized there was more than enough silver to make the rims stand out, and that the black would look great on a black car.

$680 for 4.

EXTREMELY happy with the results.

$680 @ Espino Tire & Wheel, San Pedro Ave, in San Antonio. They were $200 a piece on the TireRack site.
