Need suspension help

ok i bought the tien s-techs and i really don't like them, they are alot stiffer but are also more bouncy. the reason i want suspension is because i want to lower the car dramaticly, still keep it steetable as far as stiffness (clearance isn't a big issue at all, i'm used to driving lowered cars) , and also be able to still handle well when i want, i want to be able to tell that its lowered, because i love how a slammed car looks, and the tiens just don't do that, it says its a 1.3 in drop in the front but i can't see any difference over stock.

if i don't have the money to spend 1300 - 1500 on coilovers right now, should i just get some ground control coilovers and put them on stock shocks or should i splurge and get the tien basic set up and either way wait till later on to get the coilovers, OR sit on the tien s-techs for now and save up for the tien flex coilovers or a similarlly priced setup.

and also does anyone have any experiance with the tien cs damper setup

If your wanting the "slammed" look then the S-Techs aren't the right choice. I installed the S-Techs and Koni adjustable shocks and I love them.
As far as the drop. It's jst right IMO. Not too much but noticable. Much better than stock.

you can get Tein basics for 600...but that would be pointless since you find springs to be stiff??? lol

just cut your stocks.. youll have that cadillac feeeling and it will be slammed..

Stiffness and ride highth are controlled by the springs. The "bouncy" -ness is controlled by the shocks. The shocks dampen the up and down movement. When you upgrade the springs, the oem shocks are nolonger able to handle the increased force. And the shocks then must be also upgraded.

The lower you want the car, the stiffer the spring needs to be.... this is a typical trend. When you lower a car, you reduce the available suspention travel and this needs to be couteracted by reducing the amount of suspention travel that will occur... hence the stiffer spring.

H&R springs lowers the car about 2". I have those on my car and I have not seen any other RX-8 that looks the same or lower. It really looks fantastic. But if your shocks are not brand new, you will start bouncing with this very stiff spring.
