New 19" TSW Thruxtons
Well I have finally got around to resizing some pictures so I can quit saying I have these with no proof. The fronts are 19x8.5 with 235/35/19s and the rears are 19x9.5 with 265/30/19s, complete set is 35mm offsets. The tires are Toyo Proxes T-1 Ss. Let me know what you guys think. I know it need to get it lowered quick, but I need some suggestions, don't want to have to roll the fenders to fit the 265s.

I think they look awesome myself, there isn't too many rims I think that look great on the 8 . I love the lips on the rim . If I could have the stock rims with a lip like that on it , thats the route I would go myself . I can't justify spend over a grand on wheels that pretty much look like the stock wheels . I'm going to have a hard time picking rims for my car when the time comes . Are those tires all weather by chance? Looks good on your car . If you lower it , I wouldn't go too much !

Those are interesting, but the styling on the rim, especially with the big lip on the rear, makes the rims look small. If you wouldn't have indicated that they were 19's, I would have assumed 18's, or maybe even smaller. This is one problem I have in selecting a wheel for my car as well, I can't see paying thousands to get a bigger rim that actually looks smaller. I also haven't made a decision on whether I like the new styling of current rims, where they flare out and then return back into the wheel lip. Makes for a strange line when the rim is spinning. But I don't think I like the "flat" look of the stock rims either.
I do like the finish on your rims. Looks good with the color of your car.

abbid - always been here, lol
others - to see these in person they look much different than in pictures, they actually look much bigger than the stock rims. The lip on the rears is about 3.5" and you can definantly tell in person, if anyone is interested I have these original pictures in 2048 resoulution where you can see the lip definition really well. I'm thinking about going with the Racing Beat suspension and sways due to only about a .5" drop all around. Also, the tires are ultra high performance summer tires ~ 20k - 25k miles, but the ride is good. They take a couple months to break in but after that they hold much better than stock.
Thanks for the positive replies.........

Foxman - Yeah, I talked to grey ghost about his before I got mine, he has the 18x8s all around I think. PM St. Char or check out his posts, he has them on his VR. There is someone else lurking around here that has them on a VR that has the 18" setup that I have.

Hey Huff...i see you ended up with the Thruxton's. Like i told you in the PM mine are only 18x8 so you've got me beat there. They look awesome, makes me realize that i really need to shine mine up this weekend. Did you paint your calipers??

No, haven't painted the calipers yet, actually been working on getting the wheels to run right. Since the wheels are not hub centric, I asked them to send me the rings. When I got them and put them on, the wheel wouldn't seat all the way against the hub, so there was actually play in between the wheel and the hub. For example, after I set the car on the ground and torqued the lugs (I used 75lbs first and then tried 95lbs) I could rock the car back and fourth and the rotor and hub would stay stationary and the wheel would actually turn like maybe an inch both ways. The car rode like crap with the rings on, so I took them off and tried my best to center the wheels. There is a little roaring in them now at most speeds due to the wheel moving up and down, but the tires are balanced and I got an alignment done. Any suggestions on how I can make this better. Thanks for all the feedback.
