Finally got them mounted and balanced! Sprung for the XL version of 245/40/18, since they have reinforced sidewalls and some owners had complaints of the sidewalls being too soft. Certainly a non-issue now.

The ride is amazing. Coming from 24000 mile old Potenzas, wind noise has never sounded so good! Tramlining is finally gone, and driving the car isn't a constant battle with the road anymore. I haven't really had a chance to wring them out, or drive them in the rain, but so far I have nothing but praise for these tires.

$242 a corner from tire rack, and about $100 for mounting and balancing at Automotive One, Inc in Longwood, FL.

Keep us posted. I am leaning toward the PZeros but a few of my friends are suggesting the PS2. I haven't talked to many people who actually have them. I know the TireRack ratings...but it's better when you hear from someone with the same car rate them.

i hit up some twisties tonight and it felt great. very precise feel to the car, and if you want it to it has a very progressive breakaway for some nice slides

Nice to see these tires on, I should be getting my 255/35/19's this week. The tires are little steep in price, $309 but I went with them anyway for better performance.

Put the PS2's on over the Holidays, however my job has kept me out of town, so I only have 1,000 miles on them so far.

Much quieter than the Potenza's, but seem to be not as grippy. I think it may have to do with getting them 'seated'.

Going to Road Atlanta in 2 weeks, so I'll have a better opinion after that.

I had the pilots on for about 3 weeks, I got talked into Kumho's ASX 245/40's to try. I love em....2/3rds the $ of the pilots. I made someone a rediculous deal on the pilots and will have the Kumho's on at RA in 2 weeks also and report back after. Great in dry and they rock in the rain! Much quieter than the stock bridgestones (what isn't).

Yes the PS2s are awesome, worth every penny - they ride so nice and they're so grippy.

Got the PS2s on my 996TT and they ROCK!

Will be putting them on the RX-8 with some SSR Comp. wheels once the snow melts. Have Pilot Sport Cups on my 944 track car and they are awesome. Even use their tires on my bicycle!

Big fan of Michelin, I think they are the best tire manufacturer out there.

Ended up being quite pleased with these tires -- they handled the corners very well. I rate them a B+ (Would be an A if not for the premium price).

Hmmm - did you know that SSR has gone out of business (as of last month), and is selling off all their manufacturing equipment? Existing stock of wheels at retailers is all there is and all there will ever be for supply of those wheels... if you really want them, better buy them quick and buy 8 or 10 of them!

I think it is a much quieter and much softer tyre than the RE040s.

I like them. I have a great deal with 2nd hand tyre on the front with 80% thread for 1/4 of the new tyre price.

Love them. Better and cheaper and replacing stock. You know we cannot find the stock tyre in Australia in 225/45-18s?

wish they had more of an aggressive tread pattern, they look to plain, i like those gforce t/a kdw nt... tires. They look sooo sweet

What is an aggressive thread pattern?

I don't really care as long as they grip well and perform well in wet.

IMHO it is very "rice" just to care about the "look" of the grooves. There is no pattern of better grip I think

Anyway I actually care about what my semi slicks but not really the road tyres as I think no road tyre (even my Pilot 2) will be as good as a half used semi slick.

I actually like this tyre for their look ... is that aggressive. But I doubt they are any good as the Michellin.
