new tires?
so a month ago i got a new set of rear tires because i had a blowout. now i am getting a new set for the front. is it bad to mismatch tires? any suggestions on tires? i live in the NW and it rains quite a bit here. it doesnt snow muchthough. i want something that will stick when its dry. i dont drive aggressive in the rain...so somethin that holds ok in the rain is fine. i'm thinking about $200ish a tire. what do you guys think...

oh boy ...you are going to be flamed.....but why dont you check out www.tirerack.com . Its not bad to mismatch tires, but no the most recommended thing to do.......I guess it depends what you want to do with your car. I would just suggest that you use two of the same tire on the front and rear respectively if you are going to mismatch tires. You should be able to find all the info you need on tirerack.

Goodyear F1's. Primo in the rain. Primo when dry.

There's an F1 All Season as well.

Personally i don't recommend mixing tires because it can throw off the traction level from front to back in cold and wet weather. It can also cause vibration issues because of mixing tread designs and compounds. as for the best wet traction i would recommend the following 3 in this order from best to worst.
225/45ZR18 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 -- 125.00
225/45R18 Yokohama ADVAN SPORT -- 205.00
225/45R18 Goodyear Eagle F1 AS -- 162.00
