New wheel setup
When i bought the car it came with 19" staggered tsw's. The replacement tires are $325-350 each and the rims can only fit one type of tires(ventus) super low profile. When I took them off they were heavy.
New set up: 4lbs lighter than stock total Enkie Imola 7-spoke 18" on Dunlop performance all season245/45/18(only $150 each w/$40 mail in rebate).
I love this set up! The roads are not great in seattle and i occasionally go on gravel roads when I go on road trips/Camping. Compared the previous set up, im riding on a cloud. Now my fillings wont rattle out when i go over the littlest of bumps.

who told you they only fit Hankook Ventus tires?

The only way this could have been true would have been if the tire shop didn't have any other tires in that size in stock; in that case, I could see him saying something along the lines of, "The only tire that'll fit it is the Ventus..."

gear ratio, weight; it's all good though. A 245/40 would have been closest to stock size but if you're happy with the setup that's all that matters.
LOL@ $325 tires, I wouldnt go back to that tire shop again.
