Now tires tomorrow morning 8:00 sharp. My driving style - reccomend me something

I am getting new tires tomorrow because the ones I have are so bald that I slip taking a corner after a stopsign. They are slicker than slicks. I'm considering having it towed to the tire place 5 minutes away.

I know next to nothing about tires. What I do know is that this car is my daily driver and that I like to push it a little every day. Something with just enough performance for the occasional 5k clutch dump but with enough practicality to last me until winter.

I can't spend 500 per tire either.

I have 18 inch stock wheels on an 06.

Thanks,
-Falken

i have the toyo t1r, pretty good reviews and lots of board members run them as well. i bought mine for $150/tire in 245/40. was a special deal, but maybe you can find something similar. i have no complaints about the tire.

they are also 2lbs lighter per tire in 245/40 than the stockers are in 225/45.

Hah. I got that username before I even knew Falken was the name of a tire company. Its from something else I'd be impressed if anyone got the reference.

I just put Yokohama S-Drive's on my car this week.

They seem to be a good tyre.
They are smoother than my old Kuhmo SPT's, but those were 20,000 miles old . . .

I could have answered that one too

Falken tires are cheap but decent quality, and a lot of ppl swear by them. My stock tires finally gave up the ghost and I'm going with the 452s as well. however if you're not going to be cornering a lot you might want to go with a harder tire since falkens don't wear well despite the higher wear ratings.

I wouldn't get bridgestones considering that the stock tires suck.
