^^ I had ordered a W&T package from them last March (one got lost & I never ended up getting a new set). When I was ordering then the salesman I dealt w/said they didn't offer road hazard on 19s. ??? But I will double check.

Thx again.

I know this is a "will it fit thread," but I have to ask a general question first.

I've heard a lot of different arguements, but is it true if you go to a 19" wheel that you will loose handing/cornering ability due to increased rotational diameter. I'm wanting a 19x8.5 or 9 so it fills it up w/o compromising my cornering ability. I want the G-games 99b if 19s won't hurt my handling (I would upgrade suspension as well). I would also need to know the offset that would keep me from having to roll the fenders. I don't want staggered bc I know that messes things up. If I can't do 19s I was thinking about the SF Challenges in an 18x8.5 or 9 and would need an offset of ? . I can search for bolt patterns.

Any answers you wonderful rotorheads could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

if you go to a 19 you get a lower aspect tire to get the same outside tire diameter.

what about these?

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=111700

Gram Lights 57F
Offset: +45mm
Size: 18x8.5"
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3

i'd obviously be taking off the Nismo stickers if i got them but it looks like a good deal if they fit.

I have searched time and time again for a definative answer to my questions, and have still come up with skwat. Everyone has a different answer/setup.

What offset should be used for a 19x8.5 front wheel w/ 245/35/19's that will not cause rubbing after moderate lowering? I have seen between 35mm-45mm

What offset should be used for a 19x9.5 rear wheel w/ 275/30/19's that will not require a fender roll after moderate lowering? Still see between 30mm-40mm

Evertime I search I find a different answer. I understand it may just be personal preferance, but can I get a solid answer--base to go off of?

look up my threads.

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ght=axis+shine

19x9.5 40mm is the minimum offset and it goes till 45mm is what the local tire expert told me.

for the 8.5s i forgot the offset on the top of my head, 38? everythings fine.

it really depends on what kind of wheel you're looking at. the options that come with the wheel, what size lip you're looking for, if you want big brake upgrades...all these things come to play.

so instead of asking such a broad question, give me a couple wheels you are interested in and a size chart. then i can help out.

i have 19x8.5 +34 and 19x9.5 +36 (Volk Racing SF-Challenge). the front could go even lower to a +29 offset.

i also have Work Emotion CR KAI in 18x8.5 +30 and +37 for the front. 18x9.5 +38 for the rear and front.

Quick question for the wheel and tire guru's of this site.

My dad has recently purchaced a '07 Grand Touring, and has charged me with the task of researching aftermarket wheels for him... (he's 57, so you can imagine my suprise when he asked )

He has suggested interest in the 5Zigen FN01R-C in bronze for his black on black car.

I have found that some sites offer this wheel in a 38mm and 48mm offset.

So... questions now...

He wants to put the OE tires on the new wheels since they have very low mileage, is this possible due to the fact that the 5zigen wheels are 0.5 inches wider?

Which offset would you recommend, 38mm or 48mm?
(Note: this will most likely be the only modification that will be done to this car)

Will the tire pressure monitoring devices work with this wheel?

Thanks for all your help.

225s will fit on 8.5s. It will look slightly more stretched than what it is now, but it shouldn't be a problem. Go with the 48mm offset as 38mm will give the 4x4 look unless you lower it.

nice choice. i'm actually looking at the same wheels myself and am putting them on my nortic green in the next couple weeks. TPMS will work for them so that shouldn't be an issue. i'm putting 245 vs. the 225 that you will be doing but as said, 225 will work. i'm still debating the offset question as well because i'd like to lower it but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

ive seen rx8s dropped lower with 18X9.5 and a +40 offset. You SHOULDNT have any issues. worst case scenario youll have to get the fenders rolled just a bit. i say go for it.

in a situation like this, you may not want to get a super fat profile tire.

yes, no problem.
Your OEM rim is 18X8 +50
This rim is the same width but with a 15mm offset further out from the body of the car. If you take a ruler to your current rim - you can see that you can go 15mm out and your wheel still wont be sticking out. go for it

19x9.5, +35 offset, 265/30 tire. Car is on TEIN Flex. Any idea if the rears will rub. I am test fitting them this weekend, but I just want to know if I am going to be dissapointed or not. TIA.

I had 19x9.5 with +43 offset on 275/30, and Tein S-Tech. I rubbed slightly on hard dips when I'm the only one in the car. With rear passengers, I easily rub when there are any road variations.

Solution: Moved it out to +37 offset and roll the fenders. DIY and rent a fender roller from www.rollyourfender.com.

I can't get that link to work, and can't pull up the site even when I type it manually. How hard is it to roll the fenders, and do you have to take out the fender liners?
