Offset and performance?

Offset and performance?

Everyone seems to be concerned with "will this offset fit?"

I'm wondering how changing the offset will impact the feel and ride. Will the car handle different? How?

I'm going to 18x8 40. That's only 10mm different from OEM, so I don't think much will change.

larger offset = closer to center. Shorter offset = closer to fender.

with lower offset, the car feels a little more stable cause the wheels sticks out a little more, so it is wider!

I doubt you would notice or care what the difference is.... if you are racing, it might make 0.1 second difference per lap, but you will have to try out 5 different offsets to find out which one works best on any given race track.
