offsets and corner weight and balance
so i just got my work vsxx wheels in after 5 months 18X9 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear wrapped in Toyo R888's 255's in front and 265's in the rear. bad *** to say the least. so all i have heard from the guys that trach their 8's is how it throws off the 50 50 weight dist. of the car. I just got the car corner weighted and balanced and with me in the car at 200lb it came in at 49.9 in the center of the car. not bad considering i had a tool box in the trunk. im running MS coilovers and sways, and after the weight and balance the handling is impeccable. very happy. i will post some pics of my wheels and tires
Just thought i would share

Well something here doesn't make a lot of sense but to each their own.
The VS-XX is an incredible heavy wheel so to match R888's on that wheel doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
I also wanted to make a slight correction in regards to your comment about staggered setups. Most people run the same size all around to maintain the neutral handling characteristics of the vehicle. Since you don't have much bias due to the 10mm difference in tire width so you probably won't notice it. However if you ran 245 and 275 you would notice the difference in steering response and weight transitioning.
In any case, your happiness is what's most important. I just wanted to make a simple clarification on some of your post with the staggered setup.
I do however agree that you should have run 9" or 9.5" all around and staggered the offsets while running same size tire front and rear if you want the deeper lip in the back.
Also 5 months is a ridiculous amount of time to get work wheels. We air freight our work wheels so they should be here in 60 days if materials are in stock for assembly at Japan factory.
