It's an air compressor....it might wear out a bit....and not work when you need it....or it may keep it lubricated if you use it and make sure it works when you need it :D

So much for having an opinion either way!

I use when I need to get my tires pumped up before an autox. Seems to work fine so far. However, get a separate tire pressure gauge because it's in kPa and not very accurate.

Here's an older thread I started on this subject:

Don't you have to go to a gas station for fuel? Do you have to add air more often then you get gas or what? I check/add air while at the gas station for gas.

It's weird ,the gas station I goto charges 75 cents for air , but if I go a extra 1/2 a mile theres a gas station that gives air for free. But just too much hassle , and I sometimes do stuff with the car that requires me to underinflate the tire and then inflate it again right after , so I was just wondering if I could use the portable thingy for this.

Anyways thanks everyone for the response , guess like I'mma have to convert 32 PSI to kPA 8/

This charging for air trend is a real hassle.

Some of these gas stations that charge will let you have free air - you have to go in and tell them you're a customer and they can activate the compressor remotely to run for several minutes. See if they do that at your station look for another station that's convenient to you.

Based it your conversion comment, if you don't own a tire pressure guage, get one ....... It's one of the best investments in making your tires last. I would not rely on the emergency compressor's guage.

If our car had a built in compressor like the Hummer, this would not be an issue .
