Opinions fast!

Wife gave the green light. I want to order these, paint my calipers yellow, nordic green 8, change my rotary accent order to chrome. Saw the chrome ones on a shinka today and the accents looked great.

Yes, I was wondering about the yellow. Anyone, what color for the calipers on a nordic green? Opinions appreciated.

I don't know. For some reason, green and yellow makes me think of John Deer.

Paint the calipers teal. Still green-ish, but stands out. Heck, it might clash horribly, but it certainly won't be as gaudy as yellow. :-)

Interesting suggestions. Well, does everyone like the wheels ok? No, I am not buying by opinion of everyone else but i am interested in thoughts on the wheels.

The wheels look fine. Just don't paint your calipers yellow, unless you want me to call you John lol j/k.

Easy killer!!!!! I received a lot of great comments on the yellow calipers on my green. Of course everyone is going to have a critic and I did get some john deer jokes, all in good fun though. The calipers really do stand out though, I guess it depends on the look you want. Good luck. I just don't think teal would look really good but try it. If it doesn't turn out just paint over it! Easy fix. The duplicolor kit works really well. Takes a few coats to get it on real good though. Keep us posted

In all seriousness, I don't recommend a bright colour like yellow unless you don't mind polishing your calipers everyday. You wouldn't believe just how much road and brake dust stick to the calipers and make shiny, bright, yellow turn dingy.

I like it Cobalt. Nice ride. I am getting there. Windows tinted 35 legal in front, 5 in back and rear window. Getting ready to order rims, paint my calipers, have the strakes and rotary accents ordered from Dmenace and want the rear mudguards. Like your ride.

I like the split 5 spokes. Thats the type I am looking at. Got to admit Cobalt, the yellow on Nordic looks better than I would have thought.

bmccer- you thinking about the gas cover? I think with the chrome wheels it would mesh well, but then again in might be a little much on that part of the car. I need the fender strakes bad, but haven't ordered them yet. I guess i'm just being lazy. I think the wheels will look pretty sweet if you like chrome. I actually looked at some similar but wanted something different then chrome. Be sure and post pics once you get them on her.

Cobalt, actually they are silver polish, not chrome. Look chrome in the pic. I ordered my strakes and Dmenace has a serious backlog but he is half the price so its worth the wait. They are Alessio Turbos. I found them for 226 a piece but after more research i just found them 18x8, 114.3 pattern for 635 a set, free shipping. Just waiting on info on the offset and weight. I will post pics when I get the strakes, accents, rims and rear mudguards that I just ordered from Trussville on. Like a kid at Christmas, can't wait.

Kel, good idea. I suck at photoshop. I even have it and didn't realize it until recently. I guess i could probably throw my car on there and change the color of the calipers without too much difficulty.

A bigger pic of the rim

My 8 is blue also, but that yellow is wild! Better than I thought. You might want to try more of a gold color. BTW nice rim choice

Looks good, I wouldn't have thought to do them yellow. Wheels are awesome, but try photoshopping different colors too just to make sure you definitely want yellow. Keep up the good work!

There used to be a car in my town that was green with yellow stripes. Consequently, it was hailed the Mountain Dew car.

Mountain Dew car, show me a 8 that you would refer to as the Mountain Dew car!!! John Deer come on! How can you relate it? The greens aren't even close to the same and I don't drive it in any fields.

Well, I ordered the rims today. Said they will ship tomorrow. Free shipping UPS ground so 4-6 days is worth the wait. I will try to paint the calipers within a couple of weeks. Still trying to decide what color. Your yellow looked good to me. I am thinking something to come close to matching the reflection in the sun if i can find it. No, not the flakes but the hue it puts out.
