the wheels look good, although I prefer a gap of color or lip in between all the blackness. we put my friend's black rims on my V-Red car for about an hour and it looked great. when I get some new wheels I'll do the same for my stock wheels and post some pics.

*edit don't expect pix anytime soon

That looks good, I've got a black 8 and might actually now consider that...but that would be way down the road.

I didn't think i was going to like it... but its not too bad. I think i would have went with a dark gun metal color instead of black though.

I think I would like it more if you said they were $600.00 a piece aftermarket rims! There is just something about knowing they are OEM rims that were painted black......

Sad, isn't it?

I thought they were supposed to be black! There goes my weekend....can I borrow your sponge?

Seriously though. Would the consensus be that a glossy black would look better than a matte finish? Or maybe a very dark gray/black color? My cousin owns a powder coating shop and will blast and powder coat my wheels for $35 a wheel. At that price I'd be silly to not try out another color.

thats funny. let me guess kart you have the cc on your car and it just completes it hu????

well if you think cc on the 8 make it look good.......try tucking rubber. that looks good......and if you think im the first to cut a spring think again. rice.......is something that servs no real perppus on a car.......like 3' wing or a fake intercooler tied to the front of the car with zip ties. ricey is an old term used to make fun of the import tuner befor import products actualy did something. i would most def put cc in the same boat as windsheild nozzel leds and muffler tips that light up. hey have you seen the new ms neon shift ****....eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww hay what color neons do you have on your kart?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????

I think most would agree that cutting springs is not a great thing. Proper research has gone to develop both stock springs and aftermarket ones like teins, eibach, to guarantee balance and quality. I dunno man doesn't seem like the best way to tune the suspension on a 30k car.

I never said CC look good. In fact i have no modifications on my 8, its bone stock. But cutting springs just aint cool, you said it yourself, "rice.......is something that servs no real perppus on a car" like your cut springs, they dont make your car handle any better, because they are no stiffer, instead you just look "cool" cuz your car is lower....maybe CC are rice, but at least someone has put money into the car, you were so lazy that you just cut your springs.....

The word "rice" is thrown around too much these days. You just have to know that not everyone is looking to drag race their car or take corners at high speeds. Performance mods are for people who actually feel a need for them. Some people (like myself ) are just trying to change the car to suit their own tastes, and my car is stock as far as performance goes. Why criticize your fellow 8 owners on the stuff they do to their cars just because you don't like it. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, I agree with zoomzoom in that cutting your springs might not be a good idea. It might have ill-effects on your suspension in the longrun, so just be careful.

i stay good friends with the people at my dealer for that very reason. i know there is a chance that something could go wrong.......but you only live once. i bet if you ask every person that has bought the mspeed springs if they are cool with the .03" drop they would not be! i took things into my own hands and now my car rides great and looks the same. dont like it ........whatever. dont do it:D

Hehe, can't wait to see them. I'm thinking of going with black lugs on my car (when I scrounge up enough money, those puppies are like $30/set).
