This so much... My car came with 20" MSW that need to be scrapped. They are so damn heavy, ride like crap, look like crap now. I am sure they looked nice new if you are into heavy chrome wheels. Wish I could kick the PO in his jewel case at this point. Figured some ricer goob would be all over them but still no luck in trading for a set of stock wheels or selling them.
My point is, the stock wheels are pretty nice. Plenty of cars come with nice looking stock wheels these days. It isn't the 90s when wheel design was sort of an afterthought if any thought was put into it at all. The only complaint I have against the stock wheels is they are a size to big. 17s are where it is at. Cheaper tires, easier to get a performance tire in the middle of an event if you run out of spares. The pull off place near my house always seems to stock a set of 245/45/17s I dunno if is just me (I probably buy 2 sets of that size /year for auto X)
If you are gonna put aftermarket wheels on your car (and I am) make sure they look better, or weigh less. Just because they are aftermarket, doesn't mean they are better. If you mod just to have mods what is the point really?
I miss them at times but 19's are where it's at and they are better
Thanks! I definitely try to keep the paint as mint as possible. After polishing all the swirl marks and holograms out, I couldn't afford to deal with them again. Two bucket method for the win.
Thought I'd post these pics up for reference. I added a .5mm spacer to the rears. Need to replace the tires on my 19's so I threw these on. These came off my gen1 ms3, which is sitting on oem rx8 wheels now...lol.
^I have an extra one that I need to get rid of. if you're close to 36264 come pick it up for the low. I assume you're not too far because of the GA plate
