Powerslot rotors?

Not much info searching the board. Read some negative and positive reviews around the net. Any thoughts? Anyone using them?

In my experience rotors are rotors pretty much. You might be just as well off using OEM blanks, unless you are going after looks rather than performance.

I would say for a daily driver, BlueRen is pretty much correct. You'll profit more off the looks than performance. Drilled/slotted rotors look cool and, depending on which you get, will probably not rust nearly as much as stock.

Well, on the subject of drilled rotors, then you have to worry about hear cracks, and possible catastrophic failure once you hit a certain point. But again, it depends on what you need them to do.

I just got a pair of RB slotted rotors with the black ecoating. Dont know if they are much diff than others but they are damn nice. That coating is on center drum as well as coating the inside/edges where the fins are (where the OEMs rust like hell). Priced the same as Powerslit and RB has good rep. Hit up Rishie for a deal, i did.

i used them for daily driving and went on a 2 day track event. they warped and had hot spots all over it i could barely stop. on the street they're fine, but definatley not for the track. i switched over to rotora cross drilled/slotted and haven't had a problem since. i've got about 30k on them and have gone through two sets of pads and the rotors are still good.

If you had pad buildup on those rotors after a track weekend that most likely means that your pad choice was bad, or that you really need to look into doing brake ducting. Especially with your other symptom of being not able to stop, that reads that you had pad problems, not rotor problems.

I have about 27k miles on my DBA slotted rotors and they are great. Of coarse, the stock rotors were great. Not a big difference for a daily driver IMO.

I have heard great things about DBA in race applications, but I was shocked looking at their price point.

my car was completely stock at the time. all i did was power slot rotors with axxis ultimate pads. since then all i've done is swap the rotors to rotora cross drilled/slotted, same pads, NO PROBLEMS.

Not to disagree with you, but I would tend to think at that point then that the pads were not bedded in properly. There is no reason that you would have that issue unless the previous rotors were cheap China junk, or the pads were just not setup properly. One other thing to take into account is that Axxis Ultimates do not have the greatest open tracking reputation.

had powerslots on my old mr2t and was not pleased. i noticed my brake pedal would pulse under pressure. a few months after being fed up, i threw on new napa rotors and inspected the powerslots. i didn't see warpage, so i pulled out the calipers. sure enough on one a couple of rotors, one side of a rotor was slightly thicker than the other side. i'll never go back to powerslot or even consider power stop.

oh yeah. i even asked midas to resurface the powerslots. they were reluctant and told me i'd have to buy a new blade if the slots broke their machine.

Racing Brake has nothing.

It's the full brake system not the rotors.

Get your head out of the ***** posting!

Racing brakes has rotors that many people on the board are satisfied with. Their two-piece just makes me

what i'm telling you is actual experience. the pads were totally fine and i have never had a problem with them. the power slot rotors developed hot spots and was causing vibrations on braking. just stating a fact. i don't care about reputation on the ultimates, i've tried them myself and have had great results. they're half the price of the popular pads like hawk and porterfields. i've replaced thousands of brakes, i know how to 'setup' pads.
