Hey guys I have been researching on different forums and came accross something that I am not really sure about. Anyways I have a set of Volk GTS wheels with the Anodized lip and heard that it is bad to drive with them in the rain because you will get water spots that can't be removed easily. Is this true? It is going to rain Friday, so I need an answer ASAP. I recently waxed them with Klasse All-In-One followed by the Klasse Sealant. Will this be enough to protect them? I don't want to have to wash them every time it rains to protect them. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Will the sealant protect them though? I won't be able to wipe them down all the time because when I am at school or at work my car has to sit outside for 4-6 hours. Would you wipe them down with a microfiber towel because this would scratch them if the wheels are very dirty?
Which Volks have the Anodized lip, because I was pretty sure all the 2-piece Volks had an Anodized lip?

they are clear coated. i treated my wheels just as if it were a body panel. so...that being said, moving water isn't bad, the water droplets that just sit there AFTER raining is what you need to take care of. the wax will help most of the time, but if you need to wipe down, use some of that detail spray before hand. foam glass cleaner also works pretty well.

it for any wheel. have you noticed water spots on your windshield? that's cause from acid rain. think of that all over you car. now, think about all the dust, oil, grime, etc. on top of the acid rain. it doesn't just affect volks, it's anything out in the elements.
wax just helps protect it. going the extra measure of wiping it down after a rain shower is just more dedication in protecting your baller wheels.
