Question Question about new wheels

I've been browsing on and off for a while on new wheels for my RX-8, doing research across the boards and different retailers and manufacturers websites. I found a style I like and they seem like they will fit the RX-8 (even though I'm not sure about the TPMS yet).
What I'm looking at is the RS Limited Ikari (Athracite). It's 18 x 7.5, 40 mm offset, and bolt pattern is 5X100/114.5 (which looking at the image it can be either 100mm or 114.3 mm diameter<Please correct me if I'm mistaken>).
I went out to Wheel Offset Calculator and ran the numbers, with a result of
"The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 16mm MORE"
"The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 4mm"
Which to me sounds like it will fit with no problems. But with those differences would there be any type of change in the handleing of the RX-8 on daily bland/normal driving conditions (i.e. no drag racing , drifiting, or general racing type conditions)? And if so what would those changes be?
I ask this because of the offset information on Tirerack.com, and their comments of the proper offset matching for handling reasons. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm

The if anyone knows of another wheel with a simlar pattern but closer measurments to stock, the let me know.
Thank you

The only feedback I have would be that you might what to go with a +37 or +35 offset if you're going with a 7.5" width wheel, front and rear. It'll give the car a more "flush" look and feel.

Oh, you might want to try Enkei's RPFI, which has a similar look n' feel.

Thank you for the suggestion, sociopath. The RPFI are nice in design but I don't see one in the gunmetal / athracite. But the ZR-1-Hyper Black or RSV-Anthracite by the same company are quite nice though.
