question about tire sizes
I was doint some research and wanted to know why is the overall diameter the same on these 2 tire sizes I thought the middle number represented the distance between the rim and the outer tread of the tire, is this a typo or is this the way it is??
Im a little confused.....will both of these tires look equal or will the fronts look taller from rim to tread??
Toyo
Proxes T1s
Size: 265/30R19
Weight: 24.3lbs.
overall diameter 25.4
Toyo
Proxes T1s
Size: 235/35R19
Weight: 22.7lbs
overall diameter 25.4
also they didnt have 265/35/19 or 235/30/19 or 225/35/19 or 225/30/19.....
wheres a good place for tires other than tirerack........I already know about them but some other places for price comparisons and brands?

I got mine from www.edgeracing.com. What's cool about them is they have the weight of the tires too. They had the best price on the Toyo T1S, and their service was very good.

I wanted to go 225/35/19 for front then 265/35/19 for back but they have neither size
then I said ok 225/30/19........they dont make it
then 235/30/19 (they dont make it/have it)to match with 265/30/19
so when checking diameters I noticed that the 235/35/19 were the same as the 265/30/19..........just wondering if the tires will look equal on the front and rear rims or will the front(35) look thicker than the rear(30)??

correct me if im wrong but .. the sidewalls on 225/35 and 265/35.. are not the same.. the 225/35 the sidewalls will be really low in profile.. and the 265/35 will be like buying a 225/40 i believe.. so your car would be kinda off..235/35 and 265/30 would be a good combo. i think

the middle number you are talking about is the % of the first number ... when you say 225/35 it means the sidewall is of the tire is 35% of the 225
so as i said in my previous post.. if you get a 225/35 then you must try to get a lower percentage tyre for the fatter rears..say 265/30 because a 265/35 is the same as a 225/40 or 45 not sure..
