Question for those who installed light weight rims

A question to all the poeople who installed light weight rim, and by light weight I mean around 17lbs each.

Do you feel a big difference in the way the car performs? I'm thinking about better SSR comp wheels which are 16.3lbs each, but is it worth it?

anyone?!?

I cheated and went lighter (16.5 lbs) and smaller (17"). I've noticed better car response for acceleration and braking. Handling seems to be better but it's hard to quantify. The car definately is more alive with the lighter wheels. I did place 17th out of 195 drivers (in raw time) on street tires at the last auto-x I went to. I'm not on stock springs and shock either, so take my comments for what they are worth.

I'm running 255/40x17 Kumho MX on 17x8 Kosei K1 TS wheels. Wheel/tire combo is an inch shorter than OEM so you would need coilovers to get rid of the fender gap.
