questions about upgrading suspension

I have an '04 rx8 MT with 67K miles on it. I bought it a year ago and have been doing lots of track driving, so i know my car quite well. But the tires that came with it are almost bald, so i just bought some bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires. i havent put them on yet, so i dont know how my car's handling will change. but i also want to change my shocks, and springs. Right now i have Tein s-techs in the front, and stock springs in the back, and all shocks are stock. (if your wondering why i only have the s-techs in the front, it was the previous owners decision). So i have been researching ALOT about eibach springs and koni sport shocks. i just dont know if those two will make a good combo. I'm looking for a ride that is firm and stiff enough that will make me feel safe going around corners but wont be extremely bumpy when i'm just cruising to work and a small drop in ride height (about an inch all around). my budget is about 1k. if anyone has any knowledge about my combination mentioned above please let me know, or if anyone that has experience with either of these two please fill me in on how they changed your handling. Also if you know of better combinations that are within my bugdet dont hesitate to tell me. and trust me i have been doing researching for hours to get as much advice as possible without posting a new thread....thanks for the help!!!

P.S: would getting a underbody brace make any significant difference if i was to get the following upgrades for my suspension.

i had stech and koni yellows before, in my opinion the combination was too soft, now im riding on revalved bilstein HDs and tein coilover springs rated at 400/280, the ride quality is better than stock for the most part, and at track its definately an improvement

contact shaikh from http://fatcatmotorsports.com/ about coilovers, im pretty happy with my setup and i'd say it handles and rides better than some off the shelf brandname parts

your setup sounds expensive, but i'll look into it.
