Quick pointers before ordering tyres

My 19x8 Blitz wheels have arrived and I need to get some tyres. The offset is +45 on all wheels and they don't stick out much more than stock. Anyone recommend me the ideal spacer sizes on the front and rear to get the wheel out a tad more? Would anyone recommend against doing this?

Also need to get some tyres and wondered what size people recommended and if they have pics so that I can get an idea. Car is standard height atm too...

Cheers,

Waz

With those wheels, you've already increased the offset by 5 mm compared to stock. I don't think it's a great idea to screw around with the offset myself - the factory engineers chose that offset in consideration of all the suspension design factors, so deciding to fit 30mm offset wheels (or staggered wheels, etc.) just for appearance, without any consideration of the suspension design or performance, seems foolhardy to me.

So, yes I would recommend against fitting spacers. Those wheels should still be good from a handling perspective - just fit good max performance tires, not ricer tires!

Thanks for that. I was thinking sticking with the 45 offset and I just need to decide on tyres. Thinking of 235/35/19s all round but not sure if that is too thin!

225, 235, 245 will work... i would go with a 40 profile if you can find one for a reasonable price.

I also recommend not getting spacers. Performance and longevity wise of your suspension... you're good where you are now. Don't let the need for bling destroy your car.

Thanks for the comment guys. Just about to order some 235/35/19 Toyo T1-S tires. Some people are trying me to get a bigger tire on the back even tho the width of the front and rear wheels are the same :S Is this recommened? If so what size on the back should I go for?

Cheers,

Waz
