R-comp blew: replace one , pair or all?
This weekend my car took two off track excursions. One due to a miata dropping oil in front of me (which sent me into a tire wall ) and the other was Dondo giving it the beans into turn six... too many beans.
Long story short the inside edge of my BFG R1 was sliced open by the curbing so i need to replace it. I'm not sure whether i should replace it with one new BFG R1 or buy a pair or buy a whole new set. The other three tires have a total of 4 track days on them and still have decent tread. The one that got cut was the front right which had the least tread of the three which i suspect because we ran 14 sessions without rotating them and there are a lot of left-handers.
I'm new to R-comps so i'm not sure if replacing one tire is a good idea. If i bought one i feel like i would need to heat cycle it a few times to get it to the same grip as the other three. I'm not sure though.
Ideas?
