Racing Beat springs - which dampers best match them?
I'm considering the Racing Beat springs because they have the lowest drop (0.5") because of the snow in Northern Ohio. I'd rather stay at stock height if I could.
What are the best matched dampers to go with these springs?
I'm also considering the Mazda Speed suspension which has a .78" drop.

Either the Koni's or OEM. The Tokico D specs will work well also. Personally I would swap out the oem shocks for Konis at the same time since you're taking it all out to swap the springs.

if you talk to racing beat they will tell you that ultimately koni's are better for serious competition, but if thats not your thing they like the d-specs more because of the easy adjustability

have you been in the supercharged mazdatrix rx-8? dave let me sit passenger for a quick spin, and damn that thing handles. he's really quick, and just using some tokico's d-spec... nothing over the board expensive.
think i'd rather spend 5-600 for these then break my wallet, even when i decide to get these when i have the cash for some competition or track driving to match up to the RB springs.
but ultimately, how much you wanna spend is up to you. just know what you're looking for when you shell out mucho dinero for that jdm coilovers...

Yep stay with the Tokico D spec.
what ever you do ............. at least replace the rear shocks when you install the springs. The stock rear shocks are weak.
Alot of people try to cut corners and do the springs first then shocks.

Did this(s-tech). Shocks have not lasted long.

Some people have been unhappy with the Bilstein shocks. they say they are valved poorly for this car and cause the rear end to jump a lot over bumps. Get the Konis and be happy.

I've got several thousand miles and a couple of track days on my RB/Koni combo so far and I'm very pleased with them. I've no personal experience with the Tokicos, but Koni makes a good shock. Pity the rears aren't adjustable on the car.

I deal suspension stuff, too, if anybody needs them. I just sold a set of Tokico DSK-519s for $700, shipped, with the rear adjuster cables for free. They offer a 1.25" drop and have D-Specs for dampers. I can get the Koni yellows(the reds aren't made anymore), Eibach stuff, Progress Tech sways, etc.

In the end aren't the CUSCO or TEIN electronically adjustable coilovers the best bet ?
How does that stack up with jus going with some TEIN S-Tech Springs & the Tokico shocks combo?
