Rear end sagging?? Or is it normal?

Hi!

I have a 2005 RX-8 Grand Touring package. It was my ex's car, but we since have broken up and it was under my name.. So, it's my responsibility.

Well, the car got shipped from hawaii, to california, then we drove it from cali to Illinois.

After the long drive, we noticed that the rear end was much lower than it was ever before.

Are they supposed to be lower in the rear, than the front?

Thanks,

Mark

The front of the car is about .5 inches higher than the back on a completely stock 8. If it is more than this then there is probably a problem.

Make sure you are judging the height with nothing weighing down the rear. The rear can easily change by a big amount with luggage or stereo equipment.

I didn't want to start a new thread so considerthis one jacked.

I have noticed lately that my drivers side rear sits lower than the passenger side, could it just be a worn shock/spring, or maby something major? I talked to a shop today and they said it could just be due to the extra weight on the drivers side.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.
