No worries brother... I'll definitely let everyone know how it turns out. Though if you do find yourself with some time to measure yours, I'd like to compare mine with yours.

**UPDATE** Replacement Springs Installed!

Finally got the replacement springs installed on the rear. The ride height change is pretty significant (to me). It went from 25 3/4 to 26 3/4 and is pretty close to the front wheels which are at a smidgen under 27.

For comparison, here's the front spring on level ground unloaded.

Fairly noticeable difference, while still seemingly compressed. The profile pictures are hard to see the difference. Previously I could barely get a finger between the tire and fender, whereas now I can fit 3.

Driving impression:

For the most part it feels different in that it's absorbing the bumps better. I set the shocks to the default setting on the rear since I had it at full stiff... I haven't had a chance to put people in the rear, but so far so good.

Thank you to everyone who helped me troubleshoot this issue. I'll be delivering the sagging springs to Racing Beat in person in a couple weeks as I'll be in their area in a couple of weeks and they will be doing a post mortem analysis on them to find what caused the failure.

japlaza787: Let us know how your issue comes along. I'm happy with Racing Beats customer service, and feel confident anyone dealing with them in regards to warranty issues will be taken care of.

Hi. Finally got time to disassembly shocks & coil. I'm including a set of photos as follows:

- car loaded right and left
- right and left coil assemblies, mounted and dismounted
- coil length, as requested, right and left: free length approx 13 in both
- bump stops
- part # confirmation

Bump stops were cut, but at the same time are abnormally wear. I understand this is the reason why the hit, when the bump stop reach the top of the shock, is very hard. Appears that what is hitting is the metal part that covers the top of the bump stop. Nevertheless, I also understand that coil should prevent that the bump stop been hitted so frequently, specially at low velocity.

I have to order new bump stops since it appears that the guy who did the installation cut them to short. Anyway, there is only a small piece of rubber remaining. Also if anyone have any recommendation for the replacement of the bump stops, please reply. Otherwise I will go for OEM.

Regarding the coils, the photos included show what it maight be some deformity on the coils but I think it is more related to the angle of the photo (with car loaded is pretty dificult). At normal sight it seems coil displacement is normal. I'm dealing this with RB Jim Langer (again A+). Sent e-mail today so I will wait for their recs.

Right now the car is in tower jacks while I get the parts ASAP before installing back everything.

Yeah that's bad your only supposed to cut the first ring or so off the stock bump stops. But like you said it shouldn't have hit them.

I'm not sure if those springs are abnormal though. It sounds like if it's beating up the bump stop holder it's not good. Are there any rub marks from the coils binding and rubbing against each other? If so that's a definite sign the springs are bad.

Got rear springs replacement on Tuesday. Already mounted and tested for 2+ days. My 8 feels great, great handling, much more leveled and no bump stop hitting so far. Also more stiff at rear although this has to be with the fact that are new springs. Rear height increased for about 3/4 inches. I'm including some photos.

RB fellows support hast been great: fast response, fast shipping for replacement, excellent to deal with, etc. Just returned olds on Friday.

Great news... Pretty much the same thing with my car when I swapped in the replacement springs... It's been about 2-3 weeks now with the new springs and they still feel great. They did settle a little, but nothing major. I broke my extended adjustment cable for my D-Specs, but that was my fault so I still need to fix that.

I had the opportunity to visit Racing Beat's headquarter today, and have to say they are a great bunch of people. I met with Jim Tanner who helped me with my warranty, as well as had the opportunity to chat with one of the owners Jim Mederer for a little bit. Another gentleman named Ryan gave me a tour of their R&D Building which included an inhouse dyno. Really cool stuff, and great people.
