Rear wheel alignment

Rear wheel alignment
A couple of months ago I had a blowout on my car while doing 70mph. I got the rear tires replaced, but the car didn't feel right driving it.
Took it to a local garage and found the suspension spring had broken. They replaced it and did a wheel alignment.
It drove better afterwards, but certainly not like it had before the blowout. Once at speed it felt to be crabbing across the road.
Last weekend I happened to visit a mate who's a mechanic. He took a look (didn't have any tools with us) and thought the rear tire was towing in which he said would cause the problem I was seeing.
I therefore took it back to the garage and got them to take a look. They said that there's no alterations that can be made at the back and only the front wheels are adjustable so they altered those.
Well it drives just as badly as beforehand, so I contacted the regional manager of the garage. He's getting back to me tomorrow so I just wanted to confirm if the rear wheels for camber and towing are adjustable and if so how's it done.
I did see come bolts on each corner which what looked like washers with gauges on. I want to try and make sure they don't give me any bull and try to get out of any work.

The rear suspension IS adjustable for toe and camber. Any competent mechanic should know this by only glancing under the car.
I just had mine done (camber & toe were off in back), and the stability is like new again.

I think you highlighted the key words there "competent mechanic". I think a monkey (trained or otherwise) could probably do more than them.
Am I correct that it's adjustable through the washers (are they camber washers) that have the gauge on them? At least if I've enough knowledge to tell them how to do the job I'll feel entitled to ask for my money back on the alignment if they say it can't be done.

Which is what I was talking about.
The Muppets have even put the washer back on the wrong way around (so the markers are at the back!) - just shows how much effort they put into that £40 alignment!

Not offended...thought it was funny (and useful!)
The google search must be better than the forum one as I'd used that and didn't find 1/2 of those threads.
